Spring Bear Hunting

• The White Clouds are unequaled in their beauty during May and June when these hunts take place.

• The high peaks are white capped with snow while the valleys and river corridors are experiencing an annual event called “Green Up”. Life is returning to the White Clouds and after six months in hibernation these spring “blackies” with their glossy coats emerge with veracious appetites.

• We use two methods to hunt these splendid animals this time of year, either “spot and stalk” or “hunting over bait”. Both methods give the avid rifle hunter or archer ample opportunity to harvest the bear of their dreams.

• We limit our hunter numbers to six to ten every year to ensure that you have a chance at a real quality trophy. Color phases vary from black, chocolate, cinnamon to blonde.

• Our hunts are conducted from our comfortable base camp in the East Fork of the Salmon River. ·We use ATV’s and horses depending on the type of hunt you desire and weather condition at the time of your hunt.

• Our success rate since 1987 has been 90-100% every year on 5-7 foot bears. Size and color are the only limiting factors of success to this hunt of a lifetime.
