Cow Elk Hunting

Hunting cow elk in November can be a combination of solitude, viewing a variety of wildlife, a cozy warm camp atmosphere with starlit clear cold nights.

When you add the camaraderie of family and friends, these horse back hunts offer a truly old-fashioned backcountry experience.

Expect to see large numbers of elk and few “others’ in the field. With hunter success being very high on this hunt, it is a perfect opportunity for a young novice hunter.

• These 4-day rifle hunts take place during the month of November.

• Two backcountry spike camps located in the White Clouds can be utilized for this hunt.

• Weather conditions determine which camp we choose at this time of year when cows are starting to congregate on the winter range.

• Expect family style home cooked meals and a warm comfortable camp when you return from your day in the field.

• We limit our guided hunters to four clients per camp plus your guides and camp cook.

• Call early for hunt dates of your choice. We try and reserve the Thanksgiving Weekend for families with young hunters.
