Winter Mountain Lion Hunts

• Hunting Mountain lion behind well-trained hounds is an adventure not soon forgotten! The setting for these hunts is the famous Sawtooth Recreation Area in The White Cloud Mountain Range. 500,000 acres of road less country assures the hunter of a healthy lion population. The East Fork of The Salmon River is primary winter range for hundreds of deer and elk at this time of year that makes this place a virtual sanctuary for these “Big Cats of the West”. • Scheduled hunts take place during the months of December and January.

• Emphasis is on harvesting older class mature male lions on this “any weapon” hunt.

• Hunter numbers are limited to assure our historic success of nearly 100% since 1987.

• These individually guided 7-day hunts are conducted from our ranch where 4x4 Pickup is then used to access the hunting area.

• ATV, snow machine and horses are also used depending on snow conditions and access at the time of your hunt.

• Ranch lodging is provided along with a hearty lunch and evening dinner.
